TU144 is the aeronautical achievement of the 20th century. Tupolev invented canards, delta wings, and solved large aircraft supersonic quandary that still perplexes the idiotic moron west hole.
concorde is a one third scaled down little bullshit copy that saw its pitiful maiden run long after TU144 was in routine service.
the unparalleled TU144 superiority is best illustrated by yanks inability to even copy it and buying it in the 90s.

This is a British and french plane with british engines and is luxury. TU144 hasn't got shit. If it was as exclusive as this people all over the world would come to see it, which they didn't. And watched concorde instead.

The TU-144 was not a success as the Russians failed to find a market for it, so it was hardly used and was retired early, only making a flight here and there. The Cold War and the tension also would have had an impact on it's exposure to the West.
That is in many ways why the TU-144 is far less prominent than Concorde.

Sure, what a joke. FYI.. However, unlike Concorde the TU-144 could not 'supercruise' and had to keep its afterburners on to cruise above mach 1.6, meaning that its range was reduced. Concorde could cruise at mach 2.04 without afterburners on.

Heres the Story: the TU-144 was built and tested on but came down to failures in testing, while it was still being examined, the USA/UK bought the project and created the Concorde, the reason we are not using the TU-144 is because it costs a substantial amount of money to run the plane and---(next comment)

(read comment below first)---the plane is also very large and therefore would ruin a lot of airline's business if the Tupelov was put into use (one of the crucial reasons we dont use the magnificent aircraft is because some companies will go out of business due to all of the demand for flying on the TU144) and the USA and UK are focusing at the moment on improving the Concorde and the Tupelov is currently dormant on further production, the TU144 is a lost project, im finished here. Sorry Stealth Monkey but the TU144 project was started AFTER ther concord project with stolen plans. It was rushed and not ready at the paris airshow. The USA did NOt buy the project and create the Concord.
I suggest further reading on this subject.
