Well, what I would assume is that a cover band was probably playing at myrtle beach, and Ace was there for some reason, and it just so happened that Ace was in the area, and decided to do a surprise / guest appearance and performed shock me.
since the KISS coffee house is located there, and KISS members have been seen there a good few times in the past.
I dont know, just what I think was a possibility of what could of happened.

and btw KISS weren't even wearing their destroyer costumes in 2007 ;-)

This is directed at ACE..that goes to show you that he was the weak link in the band.Hes not a good singer.And can't play guitar at all.Hes had to stoop to playing clubs and doesn't even do that well.

I've been playing guitar 4 nearly half my life dude, I do actually know a thing or 2..
I will admit he's not the greatest ever but still good, he was very innovative at the time and played with alot of feeling.
oh and I have most of steve vai's albums and dvds so I have listened to him a bit lol.
In the end it really comes down to this "opinions are like assholes, everyones got 'em"

Ace may not be the most technically proficient player, but he has such a unique style you can recognize it's him with just a few notes. While there may be others who are faster, or who play a little cleaner, Ace is a natural. I just wonder how great he would have been if, he focused more on his playing than partying when he was with Kiss. Ace should be counted with the best ever, he has some of the most recognizeable solos ever recorded, and is a founding member of one of the greatest bands ever

Ok,if you wanna say he played for one of the greatest rock bands ever,fine.I have no problem with that.But to say Ace is one of the best guitarist ever is simply....As Mike Tyson would say it,Luticrice.There are alot of guitarist who blow him away.Steve Vai,Jake E.Lee,Joe Satrinia,Zakk Wylde.Heck even Bruce Kulick was better.The list goes on,on.

I'll give you Vai and Satriani, but those others are in a group of guys from the 80's who were very technically proficient but you couldn't tell one from another. I would rather have a guy wityh a unique sound than a guy who hits every note perfectly and cleanly, but you couldn't pull his playing out of a group of others. There are very few players like Ace who have a distinct and almost instantly recognizeable style.

I'm with you, dude. Ace Frehley is a natural and belongs up there with the best of them. He is third on my list of best guitarists I've ever seen live (Slash being #1 and Zakk Wylde being #2). Though I was obsessed with KISS for a long time, I wouldn't go so far as to say they were one of the greatest bands ever. Original and pioneering for sure though. They had something special going on, and I applaud Gene and Paul for continuing that. When they are done playing, the world will be worse off.
