Buddy, you just hit the nail on the head. Encouraging. I got a little piggery at home in PNG and I'm also a Christian. Nice Video.

That's an interesting video. I agree with your message at the end, so much needs doing at church, and so often it falls of just a few shoulders. Also, this is true of ANY voluntary organization. A friend of mine was involved with a local food pantry and for YEARS all the labor fell on about 4 or 5 people, while the American Legion, with about 100 volunteers, fed MORE people in one day at Christmas time than their group fed in the first year. Anyway, good luck to you, and God Bless. :)

how can you say no animals were harmed. do you think pigs' nerves are somehow different from ours? then why do we use them for so many human experiments like hearts - take a minute to think. how would you feel if someone grabbed you by the ears & pierced your nose w/no anaesthesia? i am a vegetarian Christian. in God's perfect world we do not eat meat. read the bible. please practice true mercy as God intended.

I tried to decide whether or not this comment even deserved a response. After honestly praying about it for the right attitude, I decided to give you the best reply I can muster. First, animals are not humans. They do not have souls, they do not feel like we do, they simply have a will to survive. That's it. Second, I've never heard of a human receiving anesthesia for getting a piercing regardless of where it is. Third, I do read the Bible, thank you. In fact, if you read... continued...

...it a little more, you might stumble across Acts 10:9-16. Here, God commands Peter to eat all animals he has created. God even says, "Take, KILL, and eat." That's not a paraphrase, that's what it says. God also says, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." Fourth, and lastly, I feel it is my responsibility to inform Christians that their good ideals need to be reinforced by scripture. "God's Perfect World" as you describe it, will include milliions of believers... continued

praising the Lord. I really don't think we'll be too concerned with petty things like eating meat or vegetarianism. I don't see anywhere in God's Word where it says God's Perfect World we will all be vegetarians. That is a manifestation of your creative mind. Please do not make up scripture just because it sounds good or justified. I would also appreciate it if you would not judge other believers on how they live. I am not condemning you for your choice, please do not condemn me... continued

... for the way I choose to live. You also called yourself a Vegetarian Christian. What is that exactly? Are your a Vegetarian first? Or a Christian First? I think a more appropriate title would be a Christian who CHOOSES to be a vegetarian since there is no biblical requirement for us to be vegetarians. That's what Daniel and his colleagues were. Oh yeah, that's also in the Bible, you can find it if you read it in Daniel 1:8-16. It was a choice, not a requirement... continued

... I hope you examine which of your beliefs is more important; following Christ or being a vegetarian. Ultimately, I am a follower of Christ. I am a follower of Christ who chooses to do things that I enjoy or are constructive. I enjoy my family, I enjoy my youth ministry, I enjoy hunting, and I am driven by the power of Christ. The simple truth is that some animals are destined to roam free, and others are meant for food. If you make a personal choice to abstain from meat or certain... cont.

In Genesis God created the animals as companions for Adam but none were sufficient so He created Eve. Notice that there is no eating of meat until after the Fall? And the Bible also states that the lion will eat straw, wolf lie down with the lamb...I'm not taking the time to find the references right now but I am taking from NIV Bible, it also says animals will be judged - how can that be if they have no souls or conscience? I don't think you will go to Hell for eating meat - I just have a

problem with people who think animals are some kind of machines who can't feel pain. Couldn't you hear those very young pigs crying in pain? Didn't that speak to your heart at all? Or was that just "noise" to you? Yes, we are above animals, which is why we have an obligation to be conscientious stewards of their care. Not a sparrow falls that God does not note it. God loves all His creation - not only man. I believe that in Heaven we will be back to being friends with the animals, as God intends
