the way this tower was built is way different than a sky scraper
WTC had one floor fall on the one below it and when the floor that caught it couldn't hold it fell too and that occured again and again and again
i don't think a tower the size of WTC could of ever fallen over on its side

Not really. The explosion here was to one side at the bottom, while in the WTC it was near the top - ie. the center of gravity was within the footprint of the building - even so, some of the top levels fell out slightly in the South tower.

My late father, Al Neidenberg, proudly worked many hours in this tower while employed as an electronics technician at ITT's Nutley operations (Avionics, Space Communications)from 1951 to 1969.
He took me a number of times to this tower as a small child where I met his coworkers and he used to tell me many stories about how he did government related microwave work at the very top of the tower (and out on the roof - the spot seen at 0.28 of this video).

I have many cherished memories of the grounds surrounding this tower, including the 1969 and 1975 company picnics (the latter I attended with a friend of a father who still worked there).During the '69 picnic, I remember taking an elevator with my dad to the top of the tower and marveling over the Manhattan skyline, and also, taking part in a fun face-painting contest. Wow! I was only 8 then!

Last points - on my dresser, I have a framed, black and white photo from another family-related event (that may have been a picnic) taken on these very grounds in 1967 of my then-happy 40-year-old father = with his arm and his then-six-year-old son.
Thus, these are hallowed grounds to me and I will forever cherish those memories of a more innocent, less complicated time. Thanks for posting! But SHAME on those who OKd knocking the tower down!

Yeah that is exactly what I was thinking. I hope it had an elevator to the top though. That would suck to have to climb 300 ft of stairs everyday.
I wonder how much a 300 ft tall house would cost from scratch?
