Actually, I will stick out my neck and admit (for me) that The Sound WERE criminally under-rated. Many of their peers like the Bunnymen and U2 were coveted by most of the music press whilst The Sound were left to flounder in relative obscurity. I am at least grateful that websites such as YouTube exist so that music this vital can still have some kind of outlet. It's very difficult for me to be objective, but I LOVED this band and they still mean a lot to me today.

The Sound were the genuine article and quite a few 2nd generation post-punk bands emerging after 1982 like The Chameleons, Sad Lovers & Giants, Come In Tokio and others took a lot of inspiration from their beautiful mellow and upliftingly melancholy music.

Why the hell don't they reissue these amazing records?I got Jeopardy for £30 (love it). From the lions mouth costs $200.00 from amazon.This is bananas.If they issued for example a box set 'The Sound the complete studio recordings'(Wow could you imagine that!!)I would pay GOOD money for it...But come on this band is far too great to keep it off the shelf ( the fact that hardly anybody has heard of The Sound is a crime against humanity in itself) .RIP AB + C'MAX'M ps thanx for postin'.great song.
