It's not a religion of terror. They just see the Western world as if they were demons because of the materialism, short sight, easy way of life, no morality, etc. Islam was an advance over christianity. Then christianity kept degrading through centuries but growing in economical terms. They see reality from a different perspective. From their point of view, we are barbarians because of the things that matter to us, etc.
