Typical 250 watt Chinese made scooter motor I took off an electric scooter that was junked. I'm testing this using a car battery charger with a capacitor in parallel to smooth the charger output. I may eventually use this on a homemade scooter or pocket-bike

hey that is a good motor to use for a wind turbine a Permanent Magnet motor make a wind turbine for your 12v room and get a chargen controler

I had considered using it for a wind turbine but when I tried to see if it would work as a generator, I had to spin it extremely fast (2000+ RPMs) before I got any power out of it. I would prefer something that requires less than 1500 RPMs.
The Xanterx C-40 charge controller I bought could be set up as a dump controller for wind turbine applications.
