This performance by A Flock of Seagulls was the opening track in their concert recorded live for the "Sight and Sound" TV program. This was where the show was broadcasted live on TV, and also simultaneously on an FM stereo radio broadcast. Very high-tech for the time! And a great gig!

I think part of it had to do with the fact I Ran was the first music vid they made---->During the beginning of MTV giving it such heavy rotation that it was the only song by them getting noticed. I think it's also because there were SO many bands coming in from the UK and around the world, people would only give a band a listen of about 1-3 songs then move to the next band.

I miss the 80's. Now, music sucks, people suck, everyones a violent wanna be gansta jerk. You cant go to a show without a fight breaking out. Spoiled kids with cell phones and spiked belts, baggy kakais and wife beaters, a uniform for brainwashed posers.

This is an awesome jam!! I love 80's music, altho i was raised in the 90s. But i must disagree greatly on those saying that music sucks these days. A majority of the true, inspirational music is not one that you might find on the radio. Its the less main stream stuff. If you really want real good music. Check out bands like Flaming Lips, Mystery Jets, Young Love, Chairlift. There are many more...
