Why are you guys so serious all the time, take a chill pill and go study some science. You know the Middle East was once the center for maths and sciences, but ever since you guys became all serious about Allah, it became a shit hole, but became better after oil, but once oil runs out, the wealthy parts of the middle east, excluding Dubai, will once again become shitholes. What's that supposed to mean? Mecca is the holiest place on Earth. It is of the utmost spiritual significance in the religion of Islam. It contains the representative of God's house on Earth and so many important events have occured within Mecca. 2 million people would not visit this blessed place on a yearly basis if it were all fun and games.

I am saying that because Saudi Arabia is building one of the worlds tallest towers right there, basically on sight with no aversion to historical significance. That is why I say it is like Disneyworld. They are just trying to make money off of it by defacing one of Islams most holy sights. I guess the muslims are blind to this fact that they are destroying holy ground by building massive hotels a street over. If the west did this, they would protest in every western nation and blow shit up.

The Suadi Government has to build hotels, These pilgrims are the guests of God. Now God wants the best of services to be given to his guests, the saudis are the gaurdians of Makkah and Madina, and therefore its their duty to provide world class accomodation to the pilgrims, but no matter how big the building or how classy the service, Makkah and Madina will always be the utmost spiritual and significant places in Islam.

They could have built this stuff further away, not miles. Even if it was miles, why then not put into place a good transport system that could manage the thousands of people? Why destroy history when you could put the big ugly tower somewhere else? I think that your religion has something to do with destroying history though. Ever heard of the Wahhabis?
