*FLASHBACK*
"Joseph. That's the 3rd time you've stepped on my foot today. What's wrong with you? You could do this dance backwards a couple of days ago."
"Sorry. Just feeling a little jittery today is all." Joe replied
Bridget sighed
"I'm not glass you know, I don't break. You can come closer" she said moving closer to him so they were just a couple of centimetres away from each other.
Joe immediately jumped away from her, staring at his Nikes and blushing.
This was getting slightly annoying for her. Ever since the "incident" as Alexandria and Haley liked to refer to it he'd become nearly impossible to be around. Whenever they hung out as a group he was a little less himself, he no longer surprised her with tickle attacks like he had before. He didn't even sit next to her if he could.
Bridget heaved another sigh "okay, I guess that's it for today. Listen on saturday-"
But she never finished her sentence because she was distracted by the sudden appearance of one very animated Nicole Henry at the door.
"hey there sexy" Nicole said giving him a big kiss for Bridget's benefit
When she pulled away from him Joe gave her a brief smile "um...wha-what are you doing here? Nicole"
Nicole raised her eyebrow at him
"I mean pookie" he corrected himself.
Bridget made a whipped sound
Joe shrugged and hid his face in his hair trying to hide his embarrassment.
"well I thought I'd watch you dance a bit" Nicole replied beaming at him again
"sorry. Closed practice," Bridget said with a smirk "but you can watch us at club Fabric Live (AN: THAT'S AN ACTUAL CLUB. IT'S PRETTY COOL TOO) Saturday night though."
"this Saturday night?" Nicole asked
"yeah. Saturday. As in the day after Friday but before Sunday"
"I know that," Nicole said waving her hand like she was swatting away an annoying fly "but Joe will not be dancing this Saturday. It's our monthaversary (AN: SP?). I cant believe you didn't remember Joe"
Joe immerged from his curtain of hair. His face no longer a bright red
"I didn't even know about this."
"well I was about to tell you until Pokie here" Bridget said motioning to Nicole "interrupted me"
"well I guess your just going to have to reschedule then Bridget. I know you probably don't know this seeing as you've never had a long lasting relationship before"
Bridget's mouth hung open in shock, forming words that never came out
Nicole continued her mini speech
"but when your in love like Joey and I here are, these things take priority over everything else."
"I cant just reschedule," Bridget said once Nicole was finished talking, "I only got the club owner to let me use his dance floor for that night alone. He owed me a solid for teaching his daughter to waltz. This whole club thing is so I can record Joe dancing for his audition tape."
"How about a compromise. Nicole, we'll just celebrate at the club. That way Bridget and I can get my audition tape done."
"okay" Nicole said smiling at Joe
Bridget opened her mouth to argue but they were already halfway through the door
"see you on Saturday Bridget" Nicole called over her shoulder.
"Oh this is so not the plan. She was not supposed to come with us. But no matter" Bridget thought to herself as she pulled on her jacket "it's just a small, tiny, annoyingly whiny, brunette obstacle. By the end of the night I'll have my answer...one way or the other."
THA THA THA THA THA THA THAT'S ALL FOLKS! HAHAHAHA. AT LEAST FOR NOW. I'M GOING TO WORK ON THE NEXT CHAPTER :)
