The video nobody "got" at Filmapalooza the sequel. Not that there was anything to get, but it's much more fun if I make myself sound like a misunderstood artist. Anyway, this is our interpretation of Leonard Cohen's "Anthem", which is a lovely song. Enjoy.

It's a relief to my ears every time I hear such deep, deep lyricks together with a beautiful melody like this. The choir sounds absolutely fantastic too. 5 stars to THE MAN...

So many quotable lines in this masterpiece, many of which have already been mentioned here. "There is a crack, a crack in everything - that's how the light gets in," which has been mentioned. "I can't run no more with that lawless crowd while the killers in high places say their prayers out loud." And probably the most moving of all to me..."every heart to love will come, but like a refugee." Cohen's a genius.
My favorite Cohen ...( 1 year ago by SkinyVinny)
My favorite Cohen song for personal inspiration and permission live. I believe the songs speaks to our flaws -that we should not hide away because we are not perfect but should step out and live: "Ring the bell that still can ring...forget your perfect offering...there is a crack (flaw) in everything...that's how the light gets in". The first time I listened carefully to the lyrics it was pretty emotional.

Nicely done,we see matter follow the Doppler and all life seems to have its ambition to live with some pleasure, some it makes them happy being mean. Then we see a form in nature that shouldnt exist, perfection, very rare and we know all before have made the journey,

This song is incredible. Speaks to the duality of our existence. We search for answers to a broken world, we search for perfection and renewal. Leonard tells us to forget our perfect offering. That it's all cracked, and that's how the light gets in.

You are right, this is revealed in the mystical books of Torah."How an Infinite One create a finite physical world".Cohen is Hebrew for the Tribe of Priests and they all have a proven DNA gene common only to them all.Look it up.Science proves G-D.

This is actually true. It is referenced in a documentary about the South African tribe called "Lemba." The Lemba are African Jews who look quite African. They claimed that they were descended from the High Priests of the "Original" Hebrews. They did DNA tests comparing teir DNA with todays Cohanim and they found the match. The Cohen gene is quite real and evidenced by DNA. Look it up.

I sure love Leonard Cohen. But my understanding about his last name, as someone with the same, is the clerks at Ellis Island could pronounce it. At least in the US, "Cohen" means Jew with some crazy last name, now called Cohen.

I can only guess what flyingsuper is getting at is that he would feel a little more special if he could dream he was one of a few who could understand or appreciate the words of artists like Cohen or Waters.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. We weren't really going for any particular message, just whatever seemed to fit with the words and 'feel' of the song. This was shot in rural Eastern Canada.
