First of all look at who has sold more records and who has a bigger fan base the facts speak for themselves. Also she has a much better voice and creativity that surpasses his. silly one - Tori can't write like Neil at his best - you just don't know this best or your tone deat. Also Tori had sold only 12 million records and Neil has sold 120,000 million records . Oh sure Tori has a better voice but the truth hurts that Neil can write depth, Tori is stranger then neil. Well then Neil is considered a great writer and Whinner ha too. Look, it is all subjective. Neil just writes about stuff I can relate to better ... and Tori does the same for you. Also, someday just listen to Buffalo Springfield. Neil wrote their best stuff - poignant and raw and well, beautiful and some other guy did the singing so you don't have to be sickened.. Tori and Neil have a lot in common - fiercely indepedendent & unique voices that run counter to blasé pop - out of room,goodluck!

Thanks. OK 120,000 million. Neil Young has made Rock, country Rock, Hard rock, PUNK rock, Grunge, techno Rock, Rockabilly, country, folk, R&B/soul, Blues and concept Albums.Not to mention his work w/ buffalo springfield, CSN, DEVO, Pearl Jam.....the man has done it all

Tori hasn't sold as many records/CDs, whatever because she's (luckily) really not "commercial". I hope we never start to measure greatness or talent by how much money it brings in. That'll kill art dead. Heck, it's already happening ::cough:: JessicaSimpson::cough::

None taken; Mr young has a rep as a humanitarian who is cold to people so I happen to love his music but not the man.
Did I say 4th time around .. maybe her version is better then Neils. Nah I am the last to go on commercial success... my fav groups (mostly men or women who sing songs written by men - hey don't hammer me - it's just my taste.) Neil is on the flip side of this - don't you think his piano is good. Read some of his lyrics. Mr Soul. Powderfinger. Just look at those two or listen to Old Man or Needle and the Damage Done. Mr Soul is under Buffalo Springfield on U Tube - it's harrowing fun song but listen and then read the words to - about his ambivalence with groupies (are you one?) and rock stars who live that life style.
