Aristotle Onassis's luxury yacht Christina was first a Canadian frigate called the Stormont and was launched as the Stormont in 1943. Onassis purchased the ship after WWII for $34,000. He named her Christina after his daughter. Celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Eva Peron walked along the decks of the 325 foot long yacht. Even President Kennedy met with Winston Churchill onboard the ship. When Onassis died in 1975, his daughter gave the yacht to the Greek government and it fell into disrepair. In 1998 however, a Greek shipowner John Paul Papanicolaou bought the yacht and refurbished her to her former splendour as the Christina O. She can be chartered for up to 65,000 Euros a day.
