In the first alien film the alien grew to full size and wiped out the crew in less than 24 hours. And it doesn't take a couple day for a facehugger to lay an embryo and then another couple days for it to grow to full size.

I wouldn't say its a bad film, as far as films go - however it does let down alot of us 'die hard fans' (aka movie nerds) who grew up with the original aliens and predator films. The second one looks a bit more promising...

i personally think this review isint the greatest, the preditor gets help from the human as it is explained in the movie (the enemy of my enemy is my friend) i do agree that the predators should have been made stronger however

but in the comic books a predator and female character had to team up. i distinctly remember seeing the cover of an avp comic as a kid that shows the predator back to back with this broad as they are circled by aliens.

SAbbon, going back to what u said about the preds not giving their due, i do indeed agree, alought after watching the special features on the dvd, paul anderson does seem to favor the alien franchise much more than the pred franchise. that being said, it did have some pred scenes where they were triumphant showing that even a film made by a one sided directer can have equal rewards

just look at avpr, one predator came to earth to clean up the mess and he started out with all his weapons and beat down aliens and humans by the handful. most of your other theories on why this movie sucked are really half assed too, study a little more beyond what you see on the screen kid.
