Well, the lights almost MUST have been a submarine. The reason the submarine is there is probably their presence. I think it uses light to disorientate divers aproaching. Strange how he get's without air, but hey.. i think it would scare me to death..

Looks like the light you'd see looking back up at the surface, with no frame of reference we can't tell what we're looking at, and we have no info on what the cameraman saw either!
