This is my animated version of the first "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" season 8 episode. Since it is only in comics, I made an animated version. I used "The Movies" Pc game, to animate which simplifies things a ton. For the most part, I followed what it said in the comic but I had to cut things due to what I could and couldn't do with the game...I will be making the other episodes soon..

hey sblachy i never meant that the author was gay i think that the comic books are good for season 8 but i dont like the stupid tv versions buffy was way better when REAL ppl played in it especially when it had the amazing sarah michelle gellar was in it! she made the show what it is today! Nice idea, but I think you should do a few things to get the feel closer.
To start with, voice acting. Get a selection of friends and practice. You dont have to sound like the original cast, but just act natural and not forced.
Secondly, use the actual buffy music and score from some of the eppisode.

I think this is neat you get to see it play out rather than just read it. Although Buffy would never wear that outfit, she is way to conservative to wear that. Other than that its pretty cool.

I occasionally make things using The Movies too! It's pretty cool and easy, if sometime limited.
Oh and smartjoe299, the playlist is back-to-front. You need to reverse the order of everything!

Thank you for making this! I really really really miss Buffy! Of course I have Season 8 comics :) It's just so good to see it "come alive". For those of you who don't have a clue what's going on, Josh continued Buffy in comic format. You'll need to read the comics to catch up on the story. They've been released as books, too. Shop around online.

but it's not the real end if the creator of the show is continuing it in comic book form. sarah michelle gellar isn't buffy the vampire slayer, joss whedon is.

For me it's like it's over and it's not at the same time. I feel that one version or one reality is officially over, that's our Sunnydale "Chosen" version but then another reality opened up to continue. But if I had to choose, then I would say that yes, Buffy is actually over.
