Forgotten RPGs: Battlespire

Guess what? The recording speed problems have been fixed, sort of. I have to record DOSbox with FRAPs, which eats up CPU like an SOB, but seems to leave DOSbox unaffected. With the recording no longer slowing it down, I can finally make semi-decent Battlespire videos. Thank god.
Here we have Battlespire, a game that was nicknamed "Daggerquake" by the Elder Scrolls community and was almost completely ignored by everyone else.
It doesn't deserve the bad reputation it has. Most people hate it simply because of its difficulty...and the only reason they find it difficult is due to them not knowing jack about character creation.
Battlespire was the best looking of the Xngine games as well as the most demanding.
I actually liked the paper doll inventory system in this game and wished it had carried over into other games. I like the "cartoony" look for some reason.
I might actually do some more videos of this if people enjoy it enough. I'd love to do one of each level.

Verdict: Would procreate with him if possible.
I believe you can still find original past-Morrowind TES games on eBay, Amazon, etc.
I want to purchase it but I live in Poland and I believe shipment cost will be fucking high... ;/
But I was always amazed and deeply disappointed at the same time (Only "Redguard" was a positive exception).
Bethesda created fascinating huge and explorable worlds. But the exploring part became boring so swiftly...it hurt.
To roam freely through the worlds was never rewarded with anything but repetitive generic trash. Especially the dungeons/maps were unbearable.
(See the "Thief" series (by Looking Glass) for good map design.)
