I agree with you dude. I'm American and I think the that other countries has gone to far unnoticed by us. If it were not for the brits during the Battle of Britain your country would of been occupied by Germany. Your brave SAS commandos who My airsoft/paintball team admire. SO I salutethe UK. And ty Canada and the other Allied Nations as well.

The biggest mistake Poland made before WWII was not to ally themselves with the US. I, along with most Poles, believe that if "push came to shove" only the US would help us. This is as true now as it was then. Just like 70 years ago European Union countries such as U.K. or France would not lift a finger to help us.

You are forgetting one small but very important detail, before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the German/Italian declaration of war on December 11th 1941 the US had an isolationist policy, the majority of the American people did not want their country to get involved in the war.
So the chance of the US actually agreeing to an alliance with Poland would have been more or less nonexistent.

To Doooozer. Yes, but did nothing but that. Under the treating between Britain, France and Poland they were obliged to do that. They were also obliged to attack Nazi Germany within 15 days of an attack on any of the signaturies to the treaties. Did they? Absolutely NOT. For glory of God and Empire I suppose?

- Sure that's fact. But it's also the case the Polish diplomacy made attempts to forge such an alliance. In the end they were left abandoned by their then allies, France and Britain to fight both Nazi Germany and Soviet Union at the same time with far less numerous and less equipted army.

This was an impressive move by the allies. My Great Uncle was there, and lived through it. He passed away last spring. Had it not been for this invasion, in my opinion, Hitler's Germany may have taken all of Europe, including the UK.

In 1944 the war was as good as lost for Hitler. So the invasion of France "only" accerlated the progress of the war.
