Your magnets need to be very close to each other. The exact distance is determined by the strength of your magnets. You only need to build one stator at first. When you get one stator to work correctly, then you can add more stators.

the idea here is to use the forces from one rotor to drive the other,with a cam system comprised of magnets,which operaates between the two rotors.The difference between the large and small rotors providing a differnece in energy to turn them.i.e.the small is easilt displaced whereas the large is not.the large providing the forces to move the cam,which in turn acts upon the small.
