Actually, I'm not sure if this is the show or not, but Dean does mention in his just-released bio that Damon and Naomi were not happy with Kramer being on stage (only wanting the core members up there), yet Kramer would still take the stage cause he couldn't help himself (according to Dean)...this might explain why in the vid Naomi keeps looking to her right as much as she does...apparently nonplussed if this is indeed the show I'm thinking of *l*

Nice to see this back up on You Tube. Great, great version of the JD/NO classic. That extended, liquid guitar just blows me away every time. Blue Thunder CD with the studio version still findable. Thanks for posting.

Mark Kramer is a well known musician, producer, etc and started the label "shimmy disc" and has been in a number bands or associated with them.
he produced and engineered their albums and helped with their sound, etc.
i dunno about any troubles with him being on stage or anything.

Joy Division created the song, with lyrics written by Ian Curtis. There are two recorded versions of the song by Joy Division. The first available on the Still album is from their final concert at High Hall, Birmingham University on May 2nd 1980, 16 days before Curtis' suicide. The second available on the Heart and Soul 4 CD box set is from a rehearsal tape made in April/May 1980. In both recordings the vocals are partially inaudible.

Can't really compare the 2 videos because radiohead were using a studio to make their version in the video while this is a live version where dean (lead singer) had issues with his vocals (sick, etc) which is why his vocals are a bit more laid back.
if you want to compare the 2 versions look for galaxie 500's version on their cd which is amazing and where people were saying it was better based on the cd version not this live version.

The On Fire version is far better. I gave this 5-stars because at least it's interesting. I would of gave it only 3 or 4 but I think the Spacemen 3 t-shirt pushed it a little further. Good to see em though!

this is so much better than radioheads version, if you disagree you obviously need to turn it up--loud!the version on their cd is even better though.
