After using Youtube for a while and seeing what great responses people like lonelygirl15 , smosh , miaarose , Brookers , geriatric1927 , HappySlip and TheHill88 bot I thought I would post some of my own videos. And while my videos are not about sex , rap , rock and roll , comedy , japanese anima / manga , celebrities etc I still think some might find them interesting.
As for what inspires me its everything from of course God and the Bible to directors and paints. For example directors like Orson Welles , Stanley Kubrick , Akira Kurosawa , Ingmar Bergman , Robert Altman , John Huston , James Cameron , Alfred Hitchcock , John Ford , Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese.
I also find insperation from TV shows. For example Lost , Battlestar Galactica , Heroes , Grey's Anatomy , The Office , 24. And also from movies like Star Wars, The Godfather , The Shawshank Redemption , The Lord of the Rings , Casablanca , Schindler's List , Raiders of the Lost Ark, Citizen Kane , Lawrence of Arabia , Sunset Blvd. , Apocalypse Now , To Kill a Mockingbird , A Clockwork Orange , Alien , Saving Private Ryan , The Great Escape , 2001: A Space Odyssey , Blade Runner etc.
And hopefully in the future I will have the time and money to make some more short films and upload them. Or possibly something longer.

The bible? Do you know how many cultural ideas and conceptions exist in the bible? The length of time the writing covers? That doesn't sound fair at all.

jjmckool, I actually do agree on the cultural values of the Bible.
I would go as far to say that much of the western world's moral foundation came out of the Bible.
But as things stands now, human moral is not relying on the Bible anymore and you can easily find much better moral in less faithful countries. E.g. Sweden has >80% not believing in God and much much better moral and lower crime statistics than the very religious USA.
But even Sweden got it's moral foundation from the Bible.

Well, any nation that has a common worldview or belief structure will do better with things like crime; whatever that may be, whereas the US is very adamant about individual expression, it's built on that, so you have variance.

But I think you misunderstand my point. The bible is not one book, it's a collection of evolving ideas, containing everything from Cannanite mythology to Sumerian legends. Hell, there are two separate creation accounts in Genesis. One of the names for God in Judaism is Elohim, which historically has been used in reference to a pantheon of gods seated under the patriarch god El, another name for God in Judaism. Which, fyi, is actually once or twice removed from Jesus' god.

jjmckool, well, to be frank, there is quite a clear trend between religion and corruption and crime statistics.
It looks like per nation that the more people are deeply religious the more corruption and crime you find.
In the USA it is also found that Christians are significantly more prone to go to prison than people who don't believe in God.
And then we have divorce rates:
Jews: 30%
Born again Christians: 27%
Other Christians: 24%
Atheists/agnostics: 21%

That may be your opinion but I beg to differ.
It has been scientifically proven that the universe is continuesly expanding, therefore it had to start somewhere.
Also the scientist who thought up the theory (Albert Einstein) has been later proved that his theory (Which is your beleive) of a "Steady State" universe is wrong.
It al has to end eventually, and even in Space years thats a long, long, long, very long, long time.

I am so sick of hearing: "The universe had to have a beginning!" The mere fact that people have to have an explanation in the form of creationism proves that there is a serious poverty of imagination out there. Who gives a shit what "scientists say" there is no one person alive today, or book for that matter, that can tell me exactly where every known thing in the universe originated. Just because YOU believe something doesn't make it real, or a requirement that everyone else must believe!

True but one thing we can provee is this, as Humans we tendto think rationally, it was our physicality and minds which made us seek a faith (therefore creating religions)and thus god is born.
