mohinix2, try a V gate Rare Earth Magnet configuration with a bicycle wheel. You will need lots of magnets, but if you get the pattern/layout right you get a very fast rate of CONTINUOUS rotation. ;-)

Good job. If you make further adjustment of the lone bearing to the near symmetry with other bearings, you may be able to turn it longer. Next step would be to put the rotor on a pin and try it to spin.

I am not a physicist, but a pilot. Why it stops, cause i personally think that the rotating weight is not proportional (too heavy and it is on difficult position (vertical) to earth gravity. Hope you solve free energy attempt to help people someday. Good Luck.

Imagine how much longer you could get it to spin if you mounted it horizontally, did away with the bearings and disk magnet, replaced the Mexican magnet with basically anything of the same size and weight and hung it from a string or thread! And instead of spinning it, you could try letting it swing. Imagine all the energy being 'produced' as it swings back and forth for several minutes, even hours! And we could call it a .... pendulum!

Actually, the energy of you flicking the magnet is what made it spin. If you had an object of similar density attached to one of those bearings it would have spun longer. The pulsating effect is what confuses the "free energy" crowd. It's not unlike a ball bouncing until it comes to rest except the frequency is more complicated, not unlike radio wave modulation. Remember, the poles have equivalent force in opposite directions, there's no way to overcome this.

I have come up with the secret to perpetual motion ,you are on the right track with the magnets but there has to be enough distance between them to allow the forces of the object to have a continual motion you have to start out with the ..wait a minute i can,t tell you that! weel you will probably get it if you play around with, I can,t tell you that either , well good luck to you i will post my machine soon,
