It was narrated from the Prophet (S) that his parents are in Hell. Muslim (203) narrated that a man said: O Messenger of Allaah, where is my father? He said: In Hell. When the man turned away, he called him back and said: My father and your father are in Hell.
He also said: I asked my Lord for permission to pray for forgiveness for my mother, and He did not give me permission. I asked him for permission to visit her grave, and He gave me permission. Narrated by Muslim, 976.

Yes while it's correct you cant make people believe in Islam, it is not our job just to accept that. The reason why Prophet Nuh called his people for so long was because he didn't give up & knew that he will be asked about what he did on the day of judement.So will we, the Pr. Muhammad (saw) is (rahmata lil alimeen) a mercy to the WORLD, not just Muslims, he was trying to spread Allah's will & give mercy. Ex. @ Tyiff, he was ignored & later they all became muslim. Our job is to give the message.

yes he was sent to the alamin (not just the world but the universe) therefore he must be followed without excuse and yes we are forced to spread islam but our duty regarding da3wa stops there. Call for islam and then let people do whatever they want if they accept it it's for them and if they refuse it's their problem.
