My experience with the HOLS is that I went to school with them at UNI and saw them play live at Stebs several times. I saw them play at the Avalon in Chicago circa 1991 and talked to Dave and Barb. I don't think I've spoken to either of them in 10 years. Thanks for commenting!

Itunes has it I believe. I think Little HOLS on the Prairie is a release of a bunch of singles and B-sides. It's interesting to note how fast their sound became by listening to these two versions. yeah, two-liter man was definately a staple of their live set. I am positive the leftmost stack of speakers at Stebs is the reason i constantly have to ask people to repeat themselves.

Thanks for the info! It's a shame that Stebs isn't around any more. Stebs, The Parkade Lounge and the Blackhawk Hotel were about the only things that made Cedar Falls in the late 80s tolerable! :)
