Those are just a few of the things critics have said about this film, which has won numberous awards and contests already, including a local 5 Minute Film Festival Award (granted, it's not 5 minutes total, but it's within a 45 second grace time frame).
So watch, enjoy, and remember Hollywood...the critics want us in big budget films...maybe you should watch and find out WHY!
This is our first attempt at a short film. Please be aware that we don't have money to buy the equipment or software needed to pull of some of the special effects/pro video editing. Some people might consider this film "cheap", but we made do with what we have. With that being said, I will post the plot of the film (in case you get confused)...and please enjoy our first short film!
Charles Finley is one of the best karate experts in town. While walking home one day he runs into a problem...someone is trying to take over the community Charles lives in.
Realizing this threat, Charles lashes out with an offensive against the gang trying to ruin his peaceful community, only to realize even with his karate skills he's not strong enough.
Charles then seeks help from a wise old master who teaches him a technique that just might be strong enough to defeat the gang...if it doesn't kill him first.
Charles re-launches his attack against the gang; however, when he reaches the leader, it's someone he never quite expected to run into.
Will Charles be able to triumph and save his community, or will he be crushed by the powerful evil Lotus Gang...or worse, will his new found technique kill him?
