In Arabic, this is perfectly acceptable, because "nahnu"="We" does not necessarily imply plurality. It can also indicate the speaker's lofty status, and thus, when the Most High uses it, the meaning is evident.
In English, there is technically a similar linguistic structure known as the "royal 'we'," but it is archaic. In practice, the term "we" is exclusively plural!

MashAllah true. Plus when Allah refers to Himself in Third person Allah use Huwa (singular pronoun for third person) and for second person Anta (singular pronoun second person). This also shows that they we is not a plural we but the we of Power and Stautus(funny sentence).
