RoboCop 2 is a science fiction film, released in 1990, directed by Irvin Kershner and set in the near future in a dystopian metropolitan Detroit, Michigan. It is the sequel to the 1987 film RoboCop. The title character is played by Peter Weller, who also played RoboCop in the first film.

Do you know what, folks?! Everybody should go to hell and shut up who says Robocop 2 is a bad sequel... it was always a very good job from Mr. Kershner and especially from Weller! He is inimitably awesome in this movie! Not just the first one, this one made him - and Murphy - to be an immortal Legend.

It maybe a bad sequel for everyone, but me & everyone else whose a hardcore fan of the franchise, thought it was a super/cool/great sequel like other great sequels...so, what's the problem!? I know people complained about the scores, the less violence, and a kid who is a bad mouth villian, but at least they try to make a better movie, it still a great Robocop movie same goes for the 3rd movie.

This movie was great mainly because Robocop was fighting a replacement cyborg, and it had a decent story. If Robocop 3 followed suit it would have good also.

No.1 was Awesome.
No2. was good. (kept in the spirit of the first one, but shouldn't be taken to seriously, The last battle with Caine is awesome! great stop motion)
No3. was a fucking discrase! They actually made a childrens movie of one of the most violent franchises ever. acting sucked, killing of Lewis was pointless, this movie is the worst ever made, and it should never even have been made. I hate it.

The second was strange, Cain's brain in a machine!!?? reminds me the lawnmower man (human spirit in a machine)
The third, well, i saw it maybe 10 years ago and i don't have souvenirs, so that means it was a shit

Well, Robocop is basically the same thing as R2 Cain. Robocop also has a human brain. Thats what makes him, eh, human as well as a roboman/cyborg.
I thought both 1 and 2 was good.
3 was just as crap as the tv series(pilot).

this trailer makes you want to watch robocop two, but it wasn't nearly as good as the original film.
bad example of these sort of films, as Terminator 2 was the best sequel i think i have ever seen. Better then Terminator 1 by miles.
Robocop just lost the plot a bit concnetrating on kid characters, didn't focus too much on the emotional side as much for Murphy.

The storyline of Robocop 2 should of been about Murphys family in trouble and Robocop has to save them, and they never find out that Robocop is Murphy until they start to realise certain smimilarities.

Robocop 2 made a fucking mockery of the original.
Verhoven is a legend, he added a real edge to the original. This was more like a Super Hero type vibe.
