She's cute! I've have two of them for 4 years now - one female and one male. It looks like this female is having some pyramiding issues. Nothing that a good multivitamin and a good UVB light can't take care of. Usually pyramiding happens because the turtle doesn't get enough vitamin A and is eating too much protein. She looks big, so you should try giving her adult turtle pellets with less protein and more veggies and vitamins.

Like I said, get her a good heat lamp and a UVB light. Do some research on hypovitaminosis. There are many good websites out there. Also, you should limit feeding her fish to about 2 times a month. It's a treat for them, but it is a LOT of protein. At this point you should be feeding her more lettuce (NOT iceberg) and carrots and such.

I think females have shorter tails, and the genitalia are higher up the tail. I think thats how you tell.

its better off keeping a red ear slider alone. they are aggressive and sometimes fight with other turtles.
