You have a very well meaning heart, but what you don't understand is that this babies looks are not the issue. She has horrific brain damage, & inoperable birth defects. She wont need just one surgery, but a lifetime filled with them. Her brain is so malformed that she doesn't even have the basic swallow reaction. Everytime she is tube fed she suffers the feeling of drowning. Her family is in no way equipt to take care of her medical needs as they INCREASE.

As you gain more life experience you'll learn what pain & suffering is for those in your life that grow old, and how allowing someone 2 die peacefully is kinder than extending their suffering by artificial means.

What people R reacting 2 in this story is the fact that the babies parents disobeyed the doctors, leaving her suffering while they then turn around & beg yet more doctors give the baby plastic surgery which does nothing but make a suffering baby easier 4 them to look at. Now we have a baby that will continue to suffer & eventually be institutionalized, not because the parents dont love her, but because they are in no way able to meet her physical or medical needs. Sometimes love isn't enough.
