You are brainwashed into believing that US is imperialistic.
1) I was born in Eastern Europe and I can tell you imperialism when I see it: former USSR.
2) Imprialims means that rich countries invest money in poor countries and exploit their citizens. The actual amount of foreign investment in the poorest places is minimal. Most of the investment from US goes into the likes of Germany, Japan, UK, Canada, Mexico, etc.
But if you like to throw words around without a meaning so be it!

US deficit is so big because of the marxist spending put in place by FDR to buy votes in 1938. And this became addictive and nobody (including evil Bush) had the guts to cut the cord. You can see that the biggest economic shit in US comes from FDR and LBJ.
Economics is not a zero sum game. If I have beer and starving and you have food and no beer, trading beer for food is a good idea.
Think about a computer. A dell say costs $500 for you to buy. But it costs dell about $350 so they make a profit. If you thought that $500 is too much, why don't you build one from scratch? Because you won't even know how to make the wire in the circuit board.

Privatizing social security is not done for money. Taking over the liabilities of SS is a huge enterprise. The govt would have to back it up until all the unfunded liability is gone. Social Security is a ponzi scheme and will collapse eventually (look at Japan for ideas). However, if privatized, something can be done and young people can save for themselves.
Govt channeling money into cap markets = corruption I agree, that's why SS should be private.
Warren Buffet, Rubin, Volker, Clinton have no skin in the game. They have their millions already. We don't. Jamie Dimon wants handouts from the govt like the present that Feds had for him (Bear Stearns). If they (rich people) want handouts from the govt (i.e us, the taxpayers), they are at least socialists, if not fascists. Read Jonah Goldberg - Liberal Fascism.
A) Mathematics is not the subject in question.
B) The "open letter" you mention is the same bullshit petition that's been making the rounds for years.
C) Why is it that increased GHG emissions aren't exerting an increased greenhouse effect?
As to oil, I think I was clear. Even you flat-earthers can agree about the security and economic implications of increased oil production, which ought to be enough of a reason to get off the stuff.

Imperialism means using military force to subsidize certain well-connected business interests - to the detriment of the consumer, other businesses, and the economy as a whole. I am well aware of the benefits of investment in both developing and developed nations, so stop arguing against strawmen.
They had some good ideas, but no - "supply side" as it's generally taken to mean implies that something can be had for nothing.

Or maybe they realize that more people get rich when everyone does well? Maybe they realize that the Dems are so much better stewards of the economy than the Repugs that the rich have seen about the same absolute increase in their income under either, while the non-rich do far, far better with the Dems in control? Maybe they realize that, contrary to GOP dogma, the upper 1% don't actually do all of the innovating and investing?
Maxine is god damn right. Big Oil is only costing money, they should be nationalized. Let's see how much they like being fucked over for a change.
