IT's the creativity that really matters. Don't get me wrong, I symphony X and Dream Theater. Both technically way more fuckin complicated. But often i think muse and matthew bellamy are more creative. And if you think that he isn't skilled, you're poorly educated go watch Newborn solo, its not that difficult but his live versions of it usually are fairly shred like, seeing as they're three string tapping patterns, not the easiest.

they sound good live cuz they're using 10000 effects and behind them they have a fourh person who is DY and he's mixing their songs making things better lol.I never heard him playing on clean so u never know.And that solo isnt complicated,maybe only beacuse hes using some strange effects.I respect muse and i love their songs but i think he doesnt have some super power guitar skill.Sry i dont speak english very well.

i dont think effects matter because, its not like he is doing a cover he made the damn song! and i would rather have him use effects then haave him kill his voice trying to sing like he does on the album.
