OH, thank you so much! This was the best version of the Alice ride I have ever found, and it always makes me smile. Oh my God, I just want to go back there SO bad. It's been over 10 years, so rides like this don't exist anymore, do they? Same as the Monsanto: Adventure Thru Inner Space...that was a groovy ride as a kid, teen, and adult. Thanks again, it was a great job!

the ride was based on the movie, which was based on a book written in the Victorian era by Lewis Carroll for a little girl named Alice Lidell. there is some hint that it may have been written around the idea of a trip on opium, particularly since the caterpillar smokes a hooka. However, what substance the caterpillar is smoking is never mentioned. the book is popular in drug culture, but can be read in innocent enjoyment. many people love the book/movie/ride and don't use drugs.

I'll tell you why. Because whether it really has drug overtones or not, it most certainly has aspects of drug use, even if unintentional. The pipe smoking caterpillar, mushrooms, inanimate objects that talk (very strangely at that). I've never done drugs myself, but my bf's sons have had problems with them over the past few years so I'm well aware of how this COULD be percieved as being about an opium trip.

i guess i agree with that. but that doesnt make the movie a 'bad influence' as i've heard. its how you perceive it, to me, its just an interesting, abnormal story, taking me somewhere i cant go (at least not healithy.)

No, Alice is still at Disneyland. It is next to the Tea Cups and across from the Matterhorn. It is easy to miss if you are not really looking for it. - - RU

I traveled to Disney World with the sole intention of meeting Alice. I love Alice! It's too bad this ride isn't in Florida... I'm glad you uploaded this because I don't see myself ever going to Disneyland to go on this ride. Thanks!
