He did not have a disease..well actually he had a skin disease with all those reddish marks on his face when he was dark, from being out in the sun so much. And THEN..he bleached his skin and it got white..AND THEN he went to far and got surgery!!!!

To minimize the affects of the disease and the blotching that it causes to his skin color, he apparently has undergone some skin bleaching treatments.
