rael, it is not just picking out a song or an album by bowie. it was his style and sound/vocals that influenced peter murphy. you can disagree, but it is infact there, LOL!

There in your head maybe...I was 'there'at Nene (1978)with Peter so I can assure you I know what he was influenced by and Bowie was one of his influences but he was more interested in Lou Reed and Iggy Pop.....mind you it's all about opinions and we all have our own which makes music and life more interesting

I completely agree with you, thank you for your reply. I love Bauhaus, Iggy, The Velvet Underground, and Bowie. We all have are opinions that is what makes this site so great, and that there are so many great artist posted here that we can listen to and share our thoughts ;)

Funny when they first played at Nene Pete asked me who I thought they sounded like and I said his style reminded me of Howard Devoto in Magazine...he'd never heard of him lol...ironically Bauhaus supported Magazine 18 months later !!
