The war was sold as a response to 9/11. When that was proven a lie, they hyped the WMD card. The freedom gimmick was the last excuse. Fact is, millions of Iraqis supported the Baathists. They had as much support as any Western government has at any given time. Those that didn't like Hussein knew full well America was his biggest supporter. The vast, vast majority wanted no foreign troops on their land. They wanted to be free from Western meddling. Even the 'Iraqi troops' are militia in disguise.

Iraq had nothing to do with 911. There were no WMD as if it mattered. Al Qaeda hated Hussein, so they are very happy now. Prior to the war Iraqis were going to work, school, playing sports, watching TV. There was no terrorism or alleged al Qaeda before the attack. They had water, electricity, etc. They were lacking things like medicine, but that was due to sanctions. The vast majority of people fighting to free themselves form occupation are just normal Iraqis. Thats the fact. The war was dumb
