Maybe a coat-hanger wire for right now to give it a test run? It's flexible and I'm sure it'll give enough support. Probably just glue it into place.

I was thinking that the coat-hanger wire isn't deep enough, but if you take two pieces and solder them side by side, that might give the depth that you need. In fact, you can make a circle as well after the desired shape is obtained.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I think even solid 12 or 14 AWG copper would do. The outer bearing race is a bit more than 1/4" deep. What I will need is a way to suspend it rigidly away from the bobbin center that doesn't interfere with the bearing riding along it. Maybe I will use copper and solder small standoffs. I'll sleep on it. Thanks!

Copper might be a better idea as you said. I don't know if the metal in the coat-hanger will disturb the magnetic field. Why take chances I guess. Good night.

You may wish to try Artist grade Clay. Typical modeling clay is soft, but there are clays which are very hard to work into shape.. yet may be much easier than trying to bend thick metal. Once the shape is found, then you can cut plastic to match.

Also, If U attach the lever arms, and add a pencil or cutting tool to the end where the bearing would be, you could map out the shape as you move the arm "on the fly".

Can u sketch out how U will attach the arms? When u push by hand, U R moving more than 3mm cause of the lever. But,lever makes it efficient. If lose leverages, may b hard to maintain good energy levels. The pivot point and counterweight of the stator is important, as I believe many have failed in this respect.

Stator needs to travel about 3mm. Mechanical ratio of the lever alone where I have the fulcrum now is 2:1. Bearing will need to travel 6mm.
After sleeping on it, I think for testing I will use copper wire, lay it out straight like RR rails, cut small pieces and bend them at the tips to act like RR ties and also stand it away from the bobbin core, solder them to the rails and wrap the whole thing around the bobbin last.

Bobbin ass'y is going together nicely. Thank you all for your comments. I'll be taking this video down shortly to reduce the clutter and focus on the current state of development. ZFF.
