french???? you are sick boy, peugeot has one of the most reliable engines. well my dad still has peugeot 605 2.1 turbo diesel and it has almost half a million kilometres on it and engine runs perfectly and the best thing is that it takes only 4.5-5L of diesel on motorway and about 5.5 in the city.

You clearly have never owned an Alfa. The rust problem went out in 95 (last being 155). I have owned several Alfa since then & unless you are a cowboy owner (which sadly there are alot of) then they should not rust full stop!
Also contrary to the many stupid comments i have read Alfa's are totally reliable - you just need to look after them & ideally get them checked / serviced twice a year. I trashed the shit out of my 156 GTA & it has not let me down once. Done 50K in my GT & its fine
