That video was almost ten minutes long, it had good advice, without a word about helmets. All you hear today is "wear a helmet".
I like this video because it shows how not to get hit by a car, without wearing a helmet.
A helmet isn't going to help you iof you get squished under the wheels of a car.
You remember being a kid before the helmet was invented? Someone would always say "stay on the right side of the road". Today the one-liner is "wear a helmet".

I do believe you're right AviationMetalSmith. And some Bicycle Messangers would do well to listen to that "Look out for the other fellow" message.
Also, I like that it mentions taking care of your bike. Most kids trash their bikes, then demand new ones.
I don't believe this video is outdated at all. Good manners, safety, and responsibility never go out of style.
